30-minute Chili Ole
chili
1.00 cup onion -- chopped
2.00 cloves garlic -- minced
1.00 tablespoon vegetable oil
2.00 lb ground beef
15.00 oz can tomato sauce
14.50 oz can stewed tomatoes
0.75 cup a-1 steak sauce
1.00 tablespoon chili powder
1.00 teaspoon ground cumin
16.00 oz can black beans
1 rinsed/drained
11.00 oz can corn -- drained
1 shredded cheese
1 sour cream and
1 chopped tomato -- for
1 garnish
In 6 qt. heavy pot, over medium-hight heat, saute onion and garlic in oil until tender. Add beef; cook and stir until browned. Drain; stir in tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, steak sauce, chili powder and cumin. Heat to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cover; simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans and corn; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Serve hot; garnish with cheese, sour cream and tomato.
